NEW BOAT FOR 2024 – Foxhound is the newest boat to join the Foxhangers fleet, a large boat with flexible bed layouts to suit both smaller groups who prefer plenty of space or larger groups of up to nine people. Featuring a NEW STYLE family friendly semi-cruiser stern with helmsman safety rail and a seating area for up to 4 people, plus alfresco dining tables on both bow and stern decks. The hydraulic bow thruster brings additional power that makes her a joy for your Captain to manoeuvre!
With years of experience and the latest materials and equipment, Foxhangers own boat builders have crafted Foxhound beautifully with high quality workmanship that blends a traditional narrowboat on the outside, whilst providing a contemporary yet natural feel to each inside cabin by harnessing stunning materials, modern furnishings and finishes.
Light Ivory cabin sides are blended and framed with Ash timber throughout and as an ode to nature the ‘lush green’ designer galley-kitchen’ has every inch maximised with a clever and practical design. With masses of storage for all your supplies, a full-size oven, grill and hob, a microwave and even 2 full-size fridges will ensure the culinary needs of up to 9 people are met. Throughout the boat a modern a 240v electrical system and multiple USB charging points will support all your charging needs, plus radiators and underfloor heating systems make both the boat and Oak flooring warm and cosy even in cooler times of the year.
Standard breaks for this narrowboat:
- Weekend breaks (3:00 pm Fridays to 10:00 am Mondays)
- Midweek breaks (3:00 pm Mondays to 10:00 am Fridays)
- Weekly, 10/11 day & fortnight breaks (3:00pm Mondays/Fridays afternoons to 10:00am Monday/Friday morning)
The Layout and Bed Options
Sleeping up to 9 (a 6+3 berth), Foxhound has 2 toilets, 2 showers, 3 permanent sleeping cabins, 2 of which have a clever design which easily convert from a double bed to 2 fixed single beds bed, offering several combinations of single and double beds: either 3 permanent doubles; or 2 double and 2 singles; or 1 double and 4 singles.
All sleeping cabins are separated by bathrooms and if used as a 4 berth both these cabins are en-suite. The galley, saloon and dining area are towards the front where another 3 people can sleep as it easily converts at night into another double bed and additional single bed. This traditional layout allows the main sleeping cabins to be out of the way from the social areas in the saloon and outside bow deck as well as offering the best tranquil views through the windows and front doors. For younger members of your party, Foxhound offers a secondary TV/Gaming room in one of the central twin/double cabins.
The Bow and Stern Decks
Foxhound at 69ft (21m) long has 2 good sized decks at either end. The bow deck has space for 5 or 6 to sit and the stern deck up to 4, when moored up both decks can convert into sociable areas for alfresco pleasures by simply dropping in a small table that is stowed at all other times. When cruising our new style Cruiser Stern deck is popular with young families and the less mobile as it offers easier stern access and a seating bench for up to 4 people during cruising times. Equipped with a powerful Hydraulic Bow Thruster, the semi-cruiser has an elevated steering position for greater visibility and improved weather protection in the steering cockpit.

The Stern Deck
This is our new style “cruiser” style deck with a safety rail around the stern. There is seating for up to 4 people when cruising, making it a lovely outdoor sociable area. This is also where the helmsman (driver) will steer the boat from.
The Aft Double bedroom
A permanent double bed with a comfortable, good quality mattress which is 4ft (122cm) wide x 6’3” (1.91m) long. The bedroom has internal cabin doors ensuring privacy, there is also wardrobe hanging space, drawers, vanity units and more storage below and above the bed.
The Aft Shower and Toilet
The toilet is a macerating flush type, the waste is stored remotely in a large holding tank with capacity usually suitable for 1 week. The shower (inc doors) dimensions are 2’6” (76cm) x 2ft (61cm) with headroom of 6’3” (1.91m). There is also a washbasin with storage beneath and a large vanity unit above.
The Central Double or Twin Singles Bedroom.
This bedroom benefits from a wall mounted TV plus HDMI gaming connection/socket for use with your own gaming console. The beds can be configured as either a double bed, 4ft (122cm) wide or two single beds, 2’3” (69cm) wide. All beds are 6’3” long with quality mattresses, bedroom Internal cabin doors provide privacy and there is hanging wardrobe storage, drawers a vanity unit and further storage above and below the beds.
The Fwd Double or Twin Singles Bedroom.

The Galley
There is a domestic sized gas cooker with a two-shelf oven with a separate grill. There is also a gas hob with four rings, microwave and 2x domestic sized integrated electric refrigerators with small freezing compartments. With masses of storages space, the galley is equipped to suit the maximum capacity of the boat.
The Saloon
The ‘L’ shaped dinette will seat 3-4 adults around the table which is stowed beneath the gunwale when not in use. The dinette will also easily convert to a double berth approx. 4ft (1.22m) wide x 6’3” (1.91m) long. There are two single seats separated by a table, the tables will drop down overnight to make a single berth approx. 2’ (61cm) wide x 6’3” (1.91m) long. Extra seating is provided by three folding chairs.
The Entertainment & Storage
A 32" HD LED TV with DVD Player and a DAB Radio/Bluetooth stereo are fitted. There is a hanging rail drawers and storage located in a half cupboard in this area.
The Bow Deck
Outside sociable seating area for 4-6 people, allows full enjoyment of the tranquil surroundings.
