The guidance immediately below specifically relates to provisionally rebooking a new canal boat holiday using voucher credits for holidays postponed following the Covid-19 disruption.

Why make a provisional booking?

It allows you to select and reserve your chosen boat and dates between now and the end of 2022 without making a payment and instead using a voucher credit with which you have been previously issued.

Using your voucher credit offer code

Customers who were unable to take their originally booked dates have been provided with a voucher code to the value for the amount already paid. This code will need to be entered in the promotion code box at the checkout. It is important you enter the same postcode as your original booking otherwise the code will not work.  When successfully applied it will show in small print under the code box “Credit accepted” as well as showing  “Credit from previous booking” narrative and the amount credited in the booking details summary on this same page.

You can transfer the voucher to another party should you wish, however you will need to tell us prior if you wish the address and or booking name to be changed. Unused voucher credit cannot be carried over and used in the future.

Prices Frozen

We do encourage you to rebook as quickly as possible. Prices are currently frozen for 2020, 2021 and 2022 albeit adjusted for new bank holidays dates in future years. These prices will remain frozen until 6th July 2020.

What if another lockdown is implemented?

If the new booking cannot be fulfilled due to Foxhangers being non-operational for COVID-19 related reasons, a similar re-booking option will be offered.

What happens next?

Remember payment is NOT required to make a provisional booking. Once the provisional bookings is made, you will receive an email setting out the booking status and the terms offered. In order to confirm the booking you will then be asked to accept these terms and make any balancing payment if required.

 

Can I make a provisional booking without a voucher credit?

Yes.  If you have a specific question we can provisionally hold a booking for you for 48hrs.  A 25% booking deposit is required for bookings more than 8 weeks ahead.  All bookings for holidays within 8 weeks must be paid in full within 48hrs of your provisional booking.
