If you telephone Foxhangers, you will find that our small yet very experienced team are fully prepared and waiting to give you the help and support that you want.

This means that we can give you the best advice on routes, places to visit and where to eat as well as the best boat for your party. We can also help you plan how to get here, whether you are relatively local or travelling from the other side of the world. We can even make your booking for you and take payment if you prefer.

• Our lines are open from 8am to 6pm M-F (5.30pm December to February) and on a Saturday (March to November), from 9am and 5pm.
• We will never tell you “Your call is important” whilst asking you to “press 1 etc.”

How the 150 years’ experience is shared amongst the Bookings Team

Russell; Co-founder and Managing Director 36 years. Russell spent his childhood boating on the Kennet & Avon before co-founding Foxhangers Canal Holidays in 1997.

Dale; Business Manger 41 years. This includes 37 years working with Canal and River Trust ending up in charge of Operations for the entire Kennet & Avon Canal.

Nick; Commercial Manager 25 years. Nick has enjoyed Canal Holidays since he was a child and continues to enjoy them now.

Nicky; Office Manger 20 years. Nicky has done a lot of Canal Boating both in England and France. She currently lives aboard her boat at Foxhangers.

Ray; Engineering Manager 19 years. Ray has enjoyed the Kennet and Avon since he was a child and has worked at Foxhangers for over 10 years.

Sharon; Customer Service and Bookings Supervisor 9 years. A “late starter” in all things canal but extremely knowledgeable. Most guests will have contact with Sharon at some point during the booking and arrival process.

Kirsty; Bookings Assistant.  2023 is her second season with Foxhangers and her knowledge is increasing all the time. Kirsty is friendly and helpful. If she doesn’t know the answer to your question, she will know someone who does.
