Our fleet of 18 narrowboats at Foxhangers have been carefully designed and built on site by our team of talented boat builders. Each boat is built to an exceptionally high specification and the designs and layouts have been developed over the years based on customer and staff feedback. Every detail is considered to ensure that our customers enjoy a comfortable, well thought out and well-equipped boating holiday along the Kennet and Avon Canal. Following the success of the launch of our first platinum class boat, Darwin’s Fox in 2018, our team have been working on building a second platinum boat to join the fleet – Einstein’s Fox.

Einstein’s Fox has been created to mirror Darwin’s Fox in the same 5* luxurious style and unique layout, with a central saloon, open plan galley and a private sleeping cabin and bathroom at either end of the boat. Einstein’s Fox can sleep up to 7 people with flexible sleeping arrangements in each area, the rear cabin can be converted from a standard double to a king size bed while the forward cabin can be configured in a variety of ways to suit any group. Customers can choose to have 1 double bed, 1 double bed with a single bunk above, two single beds or a set of bunk beds with a single bed opposite, Einstein’s Fox also offers the flexibility to turn the saloon into another sleeping area with a make-up double bed.

The benefit of Einstein’s Fox being a twin of Darwin’s Fox is that it allows our holiday schedule to be adjusted so when Einstein in launched for our 2022 season, Foxhangers will be able to offer a 5* platinum boat across all breaks, Darwin’s will move over to weekends and mid-week breaks while Einstein’s will be available for long breaks.
