Tibetan Fox

4 - 6 Berth Narrowboat, Silver Fox Class

Tibetan Fox is medium sized boat ideal for couples, families and groups of friends. A member of our Silver Fox Class of luxuriously appointed Semi-traditional narrowboats.

A 4+2 berth with a large permanent private double cabin located aft followed by the bathroom and the second private double cabin where a clever design means it can convert easily from a double bed to 2 fixed single beds. The galley, saloon and dining area are towards the front which easily converts at night into another double and single berth.  This traditional layout allows the main sleeping cabins to be out of the way from the social areas in the saloon and outside bow deck as well as offering the best tranquil views through the windows and front doors.

Luxuriously appointed and beautifully crafted with an uplifting warm interior in Maple and Cherry woods that contrast with a sumptuous Walnut floor throughout. Facilities include a toilet and shower, a comprehensively equipped galley with a full-size cooker and microwave, a 240v electrical system as well as central heating that provides great comfort from March to November.

At 58ft(17.7) long she has a bow deck with space to socialise and a Semi-traditional stern that has an elevated steering position for greater visibility and improved weather protection in the steering cockpit.  Popular with dog owners, the lockable doors provide the bonus of an ideal pen for dogs.  Though there isn’t a guard rail to protect the steerer around the back deck, the semi-traditional stern has seating for 2 to 3 people on the storage benches when cruising.

Standard breaks for this narrowboat:

  • Weekend breaks (3:00pm Fridays to 10:00am Mondays)
  • Midweek breaks (3:00pm Mondays to 10:00am Fridays)
  • Weekly, 10/11 day & fortnight breaks (3:00pm Mondays/Fridays afternoons to 10:00am Monday/Friday morning)

This was my second booking with Foxhangers and followed quickly on from a brilliant trip earlier in the year. If anything, this break was even better. The superb late autumn weather helped, but it wouldn’t have been anything like as good without the service, support, attention to detail and courtesy of the boatyard staff. I can’t recommend them highly enough: great boats, great people. Thank you.

Captain Cpt Christopher Booth, Tibetan Fox October 2024

My partner and I and a couple of friends recently spent a week on the Tibetan Fox from the 13th - 20th September and were so incredibly delighted with how our unique holiday unfolded. As complete novices, were instantly put at ease with our induction to not only the boat itself and its workings, but also the nature of opening and closing the locks. Mark, I believe his name was, told us everything we needed to know in an informative and friendly manner, so upon venturing off towards a week of delight we had no hesitations or fears upon climbing "The Flight" meeting friendly people along the way. I'd like to take this time to not only thank everyone but also share just a handful of the many photos we took along the way.

Captain Cpt Arron Horwood, Tibetan Fox September 2024

Dear Sharon and Kirsty and the team, I just wanted to thank you all for a brilliant time. You organise things very well indeed and ensured some highly anticipated (and quite rare) time together was very well spent. The boat is brilliant, beautifully equipped and serviced. And Dave was a great tutor. The Foxhangers team were at least as good as the lovely boats they rent out. We had all the information we needed and first class service throughout, from the desk team to the people at the wharf. I couldn't be more grateful. The boat itself was well appointed, in great condition, and plenty of room for our party of three men and one dog. There genuinely wasn't anything we could have wished for that had not been foreseen. The only thing that doesn't depend on the Foxhangers team is the weather. That depends on many other things, including good fortune. We were lucky with that, too.

Captain Cpt Chris Booth, Tibetan Fox August 2024

Our first time on a canal boat it couldn't have gone better. The handover of our spotless boat Tibetan Fox by Kevin was relaxed and comprehensive- he assured us we would be fine and we were, and new how to get help if we needed it. We had the boat for a long weekend and had a great time making friends along the way and chatting with other boaters , having an evening out in Bradford Upon Avon (highly recommend The Stumble Inn for real ale), before heading back. Will certainly be back! Thank you everyone at Foxhangers.

Captain Cpt Dr Adam Prewett, Tibetan Fox July 2024

Just a short message to say we had a great time this week. From booking to the handover everything was easy and very friendly.

Captain Cpt John Havill, Tibetan Fox July 2024

Thanks we had a lovely time, the advance information, boat preparation and welcome were all exemplary. Please pass our thanks to the team.

Captain Cpt Peter Bishop, Tibetan Fox August 2024

Hi, I thought your service was excellent - very helpful information pack, efficient boat briefing and available for any questions throughout - which made the whole experience even more superb. Thank you!

Captain Cpt Alex Skeaping, Tibetan Fox November 2023

Great holiday on The Tibetan Fox. Great facilities, easy handover both at the start and finish and the tutorial was spot on and lots of fun. Learnt a lot about canal boats, canals, locks and swing bridges. A great opportunity to see wildlife on a gentle meander down the canal. Accommodation was more generous than we anticipated. The beds were super comfy. The kitchen suits one person however that worked for us. The hot water was ample for showers and cooking. Topping up the water tank was easy. Great facilities on board.

Captain Cpt Dawn Jones, Tibetan Fox September 2023

We have just had a lovely holiday on the Tibetan Fox. The boat was beautifully fitted out, with a traditional wooden interior. This delighted us and added to the comfort and atmosphere. The boat was smart, clean and had every utensil and soft furnishing we could want. A soap dish at waist height in the shower would be the icing on the cake! The holiday was luxurious and fun. The staff were kind and helpful, particularly Jim the guy that taught us about locks. Especially good were the instructions and maps supplied. The reminder NOT to use the microwave before switching the engine could be a bit bigger! This would help forgetful people like myself. All in all, a very good holiday. We will recommend you!

Captain Cpt Ian Stevens, Tibetan Fox September 2023

grandchildren on Tibetan Fox. Everything was beautifully clean & ready on our arrival and after our induction, we set off westwards from Foxhangers and got as far as Bath before turning around and heading back. The boat was excellent – everything worked perfectly: the engine, the hot water, the oven (great little oven!), the loo (can often be a bit dodgy on boats!) all worked extremely well. Well kitted out galley. We only charged mobiles & laptop when the engine was running and never had an electrical issue. Loved the locks & the swing bridges – and the kids cycled beside us along the towpath for a lot of the way. Gave them great independence. Water & pump out facilities very plentiful and we filled up with water most days so that everyone could have a good shower each day. Foxhangers were so helpful when we rang with a query about the electrical system and even offered to come and show us if we couldn’t work it out. Luckily we did, but they couldn’t have been more helpful. Also, when we returned the boat a day early (a Sunday), we were met by an off-duty Foxhangers staff member who very kindly showed us the best place to moor up and leave the boat & where to leave our rubbish bag. He was very helpful and we were not expecting to see anyone. Would definitely recommend Foxhangers for your Kennet & Avon canal adventure! Next time we will be braver and have a longer boat! Thanks so much for everything

Captain Cpt Annie Sutcliffe, Tibetan Fox August 2023

Thank you so much to the team at Foxhangers. Tibetan fox was already waiting for us and was immaculately clean with beds made up ready. Great instructor who went through every detail of the boat and operation of locks... 10 mins of cruising and we had it all sorted. Such a peaceful holiday, a mix of mooring up outside great pubs for the night and some nights in the countryside away from it all. Got from Foxhangers to Bath with plenty of time and no stress in a 4 night break. We will be booking again for next year and possibly a cheeky winter break. Many thanks.

Captain Cpt Mark Jones , Tibetan Fox July 2023

My first river boat voyage and had a wonderful time. My partner was an excellent skipper and I hope I passed as a skivvy! John very clear and helpful with instructions, boat very clean with good storage, facilities and equipment. Good weather helped. Met some lovely people along the way and some well needed assistance.

Captain Cpt Bailey, Tibetan Fox May 2023

We had a very enjoyable time on Tibetan Fox, our first narrow boat holiday. As novices we were expertly guided through all aspects of operating the boat to opening and closing locks and bridges by Patrick before confidently setting off towards Bath. The maps and general information regarding distances to locks, bridges, places to eat etc was invaluable for planning each day, particularly making sure we returned on time! The boat was immaculate and very well equipped. We saw an abundance of wildlife including swans and ducks with their new families plus the occasional heron enjoying the tranquility of home on the canal. Overall an unique experience for us and one which we will look forward to repeating very soon.

Captain Cpt Christopher Richards, Tibetan Fox May 2023

We spent a weekend on Tibetan Fox cruising from Foxhangers towards Bath. Having used many other companies we really liked the design of this boat, and the clever use of space. There was much more storage than we have experienced on similar sized narrow boats. The Foxhangers team were all incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our next time cruising on the Kennet and Avon will definitely be on a Foxhangers boat. Thank you for a great holiday !

Captain Cpt Rachel Bowden, Tibetan Fox April 2023

Hired two foxes to celebrate my birthday with family and friends. Set off on an adventure along the cut. Great scenery, bankside dining and boats. Had fantastic party with local musicians in Cross Guns - a convenient day's motoring west. Nobody told us a trip could be this good! Thank you Foxhangers!

Captain Cpt Ian Bell, Tibetan Fox October 2022

Thank you again for a great time the Tibetan Fox was fully equipped for all our needs also very clean ... thank you for all your helpful advice and tips .. look forward to seeing you again.

Captain Cpt Phil Greenstock, Tibetan Fox August 2022

Dear Foxhangers My family and I had the best 7 days cruising up and back to Bath on FoxTalbot. The vessel was first class , clean, well equipped and with most importantly comfortable beds We will be back in 2023 to master the Caen Hill locks, thanks again to all the good guys or Foxhangers.

Captain Cpt K Letten, Tibetan Fox July 2022

Well we were well and truly stuck at the top of the Caine flight of locks on our penultimate day as the authorities had closed the flight due to pump failures and lack of water. Reading Foxhangers penalty clauses, I thought we were in real trouble! On phoning their duty person that day (a Sunday), I was reassured, no matter what, they would do everything to help us including coming to fetch us and the boat later if need be. As it happened the flight opened whilst I was on the phone and all was well. This was one small example of a very caring company.......the best of 8 or so I have dealt with over the years. The detail supplied concerning routes was excellent plus a waterproofed canal guide - that was a first. The boat we had was not the newest or most expensive, but was in good condition, clean, well fitted out and supplied. I would have no hesitation in recommending this excellent company.

Captain Cpt Chris Calder, Tibetan Fox June 2022

To anyone thinking of booking a holiday through Foxhangers , I would say go right ahead without any fear or trepidation. The service we had was exemplary from start to finish, and when things went pear shaped through no fault of Foxhangers, they pulled out all the stops in order to resolve the issue. the holiday experience was good from start to finish, even the weather was kind! The staff were extremely helpful at all times, and definitely have their work ethic and customer service well sorted. The barge was well equipped, clean and tidy. The whole experience was a pleasurable one for me and the rest of my party.

Captain Cpt Kevin Sempers, Tibetan Fox June 2022

Dear sirs, We were very happy with our trip and boat. The pick up went very smoothly with Jon who handed the boat over to us, answering our initial questions and giving us a good rundown on the how the boat operated and where everything was located. Being able to park the car right next to the boat to load up was also very handy. Boat operation on the water was really good and easy to control with simple checks to do on the engine first and last thing. The facilities on board were also really good, a good level of lighting, a good number of sockets around the boat and really good heating for those chilly nights. Facilities in the galley were very good, cooker easy to operate with the grill making surprisingly good toast! It was also very useful to have dedicated USB charging points so phones could be plugged in at any point to charge them up day or night. There was more than ample storage space for our stuff although we were a party of four on a boat that has a capacity for six. Toilet facilities were easy to operate and the shower was surprisingly good albeit a little cramped (but understandably so). The lounge area was well organised and comfortable to use. The on-board information and guide for the canal was very good and we referred to that quite a lot. Handing the boat back was equally smooth with staff there ready to take us alongside the quay and tie us up.

Captain Cpt Paul Matthew, Tibetan Fox October 2021

Hi It was our first time on a canal boat. It was very Relaxing. We really enjoyed it .will definitely do it again

Captain Cpt Margaret Brand, Tibetan Fox September 2021

A great week on board the Tibetan fox. Our 3rd time with Foxhangers and as good as ever! The handover was easy, professional and efficient. The boat was clean and well appointed. We would always recommend hiring from Foxhangers! Kind regards

Captain Cpt Kim Collins, Tibetan Fox September 2021

Hi, Apologies it's taken a little while to send some feedback on our holiday in August, but please see below... We had such a great time on board Tibetan Fox, everything went perfectly. Whilst it wasn't our first time on holiday with you, it was the first time we had introduced our kids (aged 5 & 6) to canal boating - they loved it! They talked about it for weeks when we came back and they are desperate to book again. The Kennet and Avon was ideal for their first taster, and by the time we stopped on the first evening they had already mastered locks and swing bridges. I think memories were made during the week that will last them a lifetime and that is priceless! We look forward to hoisting the Jolly Roger above another Foxhangers boat sometime soon. Many thanks, Simon ps. thanks also for sorting out our coats - which we left behind in one of the lockers - much appreciated.

Captain Cpt Simon Cook, Tibetan Fox August 2021

Hi Sharon, We had such a wonderful time on the Tibetan Fox this weekend! The boat was spotlessly clean, and the check in/check out was super-efficient. The tutorial we had was really helpful and the pre-sent materials, videos and manual made the experience as stress free as possible for a group of complete novice boaters. We had a fabulous weekend floating down the river and it made memories we will treasure for a lifetime. Many thanks,

Captain Cpt Clare Matthews, Tibetan Fox July 2021

Sharon and the team made the booking process really easy and stress free, answering all my questions and checking in before we left. On arrival we had a warm welcome with some great training before setting off. The boat was clean, tidy, well stocked and ready to go. Whilst we were offered an emergency number for further support we thankfully didn’t need it! The canal was a slow, relaxing and very friendly place to be and the information pack I was sent helped us to plan our route and know where the best pubs were!!! Overall I cannot recommend Foxhangers highly enough, we’ll be back to do the Caen Hills Flight and beyond for sure!

Captain Cpt Helen Martin, Tibetan Fox July 2021

As first time barge holidaymakers, we had a lovely time from start to finish. The barge was immaculate, all necessities were supplied and all staff polite and professional. I thoroughly recommend.

Captain Cpt Joanne Downting, Tibetan Fox April 2021

Thanks very much for a wonderful holiday. The trip was great fun and I’ll definitely be looking to do it again. You’re team were really helpful and friendly both on pick up and drop off. One final note, I’d like to say a special thanks for covering my car window with the plastic sheet to prevent the rain from getting in. I must have forgotten to close the window when I parked up. It’s those little touches that make a difference when coming to choose which company to use and that certainly made an impression on me. Thanks again and see you soon.

Captain Gary Hall, Tibetan Fox September 2020

My family and I had an amazing holiday aboard Tibetan Fox. We were comfortable and happy with the high standards of cleanliness and condition of boat. My 2 teenage boys got stuck into the whole ethos and flow. It was a most relaxing and enjoyable trip and we look forward to spending more happy days on the canals. Thank you Foxhangers you are an amazing team.

Captain Mr Sam Bell, Tibetan Fox August 2020

A fantastic time was had by four adults, for four days, on the Tibetan Fox. We were able to make our way towards Bath; through the locks, swing bridges and two aqueducts, with having never been on a narrowboat. Bradford on Avon is definitely a worthwhile stop on the canal. Would highly recommend Foxhangers Canal Holidays for your narrowboat experience.

Captain Herrera, Tibetan Fox

Short break on Tibetan Fox. Very helpful and comprehensive handover explaining all we needed to know about the boat. Also lots of good advice from Billy about cruising times to Bradford on Avon and Avoncliffe- our turnaround point. With this we we didn’t miss a thing. Don’t miss the Mason’s marks under the wonderful Avoncliffe Aqueduct! Many thanks, Steve and Vi

Captain Sherring, Tibetan Fox

Beautiful canals short break. The weather was glorious and boat was very comfortable ( we have stayed on Tibetan Fox) even for someone like me with the leg in the cast :) Thank you Foxhangers! We had a cracking time :) we will be back hopefully for longer holidays soon :)

Captain Eve Burden, Tibetan Fox

I've just got home from Wiltshire, and the weekend spent on Foxtrot and Tibetan Fox with several friends celebrating one of our groups 50th birthday. I’ve used Foxhangers before so knew what to expect, but can I just pass on how fantastic those members of the group who had never been on a barge before found the whole experience. They were really impressed by how luxurious, comfortable and well equipped the barges were, as well as the really helpful brief from your staff before we sailed off. Thank you so much for a fantastic experience.

Captain Simon Collinson, Tibetan Fox

Thank you for warm welcome and excellently fitted out boat. Tibetan Fox is remarkably well fitted out. Her engine controls are simple and functional. She carries the essential navigational equipment including good light weight waterproofs. She has a remarkably well equipped and arranged kitchen. The forward dining area / lounge is spacious. The bathroom and shower are excellent. Each cabin has really adequate storage space when you have time to investigate. Several times on our week's cruise down to Bath when commenting on the quality of the Foxhanger boats and service, I was told just how friendly the staff are as well. One useful piece of advice I received from a "live aboard" who saw me struggling, was make sure you are standing on your boat with both feet before trying to lift your bicycle aboard. The friendly help on the canal more than made up for the weather. Thank you

Captain Dr J.R.Keth, Tibetan Fox

We had a great week. The staff were very helpful and didn't even object to being woken on Sunday morning to fix something,

Captain Rosalind Evans, Tibetan Fox

Quick, efficient, pleasant service and handover, informative throughout, clean, well equipped boats and a wonderful setting, we will be back.

Captain Jody Osborne, Tibetan Fox

Excellent customer care from Foxhangers' staff, including a phone call the week before we arrived, just to check our group size hadn't changed and to see if we had any questions. We were given an excellent "run through" about the boat itself upon arrival and a quick demo on lock operation just a stone's throw from their boatyard. All questions answered in layman's terms and we were very quickly put at ease. It was my first time on the canal and a 58 foot boat was quite a daunting prospect. We were able to very conveniently park our car right next to the boat to transfer all our luggage into the side doors of the boat and then park securely, on Foxhangers premises. The boat was extremely well equipped; the kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were clean and comfortable, the interior was very comfortable and well presented. The TV worked well, despite being warned the reception was poor but we only watched it for five minutes, during the whole trip, preferring instead, to sit outside and look at the stars with a glass of wine. Power supply was good for charging phones and ipads allowing us to post some amazing photos to our friends and family, although 3G coverage was a little sketchy in places along the route. The bathroom was certainly adequate. The water heater was very good and the showers after a long day at the tiller were both hot and welcome. However, I would certainly urge you to bring at least three types of air freshener for that room. I would estimate this boat as being comfortable for four people but a squeeze for 6, particularly at night, when using the bathroom or getting up for a glass of water. We were a party of two and coped with locks, mooring and steering more than adequately. I soon mastered the steering although setting off from a mooring did prove quite challenging. Mooring up was easy, leaving that spot was hard as I found getting the bow out, easy, but getting the stern out was harder...I seemed to just run along the bank for a bit in a straight line. The (walking) pace of life on the canal is very relaxing. If you are looking to get away from the "Rat Race" for a bit, this is the perfect tonic. One very quickly adapts to the slower pace, and this enables you to gorge yourself on the stunning British countryside and to catch many glimpses of wildlife. swans, Herons and Kingfishers are in abundance, maybe take some binoculars along too. It was a great feeling to moor up and go to the pub for a meal and come back to the boat afterwards; it became a very nice base to return to although I was nervous each time I had to use pins when there were no cleats or rings to moor to. As with boating and steering it pays not to let your mind wander or be distracted as things change rapidly if you aren't focussed. Bring portable lights if you are the sort who likes to be outside at night, in the ample seating area both fore and aft. There is (thank God) no lighting on the K & A and finding small things (like your glasses or phone) can prove tricky in the dark. Foxhangers do provide a torch but I would recommend bringing at least one more of your own, and/or a safe camping type light that you can set down on a flat surface. Take your torch/light with you when you leave the boat in the evenings - the towpath is dark and there are other obstacles besides other boaters' mooring ropes to trip over or stand on. Do remember to fill up with water regularly. We found ourselves using a great deal and filled up three times in five days, that was without any cooking, just from showering and washing up. Full size gas oven was great, although we didn't cook much, instead choosing to make sandwiches for lunch and heading to the pub for dinner - this left us more time to enjoy the trip without the shackles of so much domesticity, which is what being on a break is all about. There are some excellent pubs which you should spend some time researching before you head off. We were not served a bad meal anywhere. Some have their own moorings and others are a little walk away. One gave us a tub of ice to take back to the boat; they are boater friendly as I would imagine boaters make up a fair proportion of their trade. There are several shops and supermarkets en route from which you can stock up the boat's cupboards.. Again, do your research on their locations before you set off, and plan where to moor in order to shop. Maps provided by Foxhangers are more than adequate as are the the pages of info and the dvd they post to you pre trip. Build up your arms before you arrive as you will be doing a great deal of waving en route. Not just other boaters but dog walkers and cyclists are all very friendly. Sadly there is a group of "residents" who aren't quite so friendly and seem to be under the impression that the Waterways belong to them and they resented our presence. This was the one and only downside to the entire trip. If you have bicycles, do bring them. The towpath is in excellent condition and it is FLAT; so you could moor and cycle for miles. Perhaps also bring some padlocks for them too, if getting them on board (inside) and off again does not appeal. We comfortably made it to Keynsham, (and back) in five days, successfully navigating the second deepest lock in the UK (OK we had some help from the Canal and Rivers Trust Volunteers - who were brilliant and helpful) and the dramatic change from being on a canal to being on a river was most enjoyable. I would certainly recommend going on the river (at Bath) if only to see the weir there and the splendid architecture. From there on, the "traffic" thinned out a little. There are restrictions on the hours it is permitted to move or have an engine running, so I would say we were moving for about seven hours a day. There was no need to empty the waste tank or get more diesel in a week, the only essential stops were to eat and take water on board, but if you stock up with enough food and cook all your own meals, you could probably increase your mileage and make it to Bristol and back in five days. We didn't manage the Caen Flight but we did enjoy a splendid Cream Tea at the cafe situated about half way up which I would recommend. We had a superb trip, thanks Foxhangers....we will return, maybe for a larger vessel. Thank you.

Captain Mr Ayling , Tibetan Fox

Many thanks for a superb 4-night trip from Foxhangers.  The boat was well equipped and comfortable, and the service was excellent, both at the start and when we needed assistance at the canalside.  We had an excellent trip to Bath and back, and would highly recommend Foxhangers to others.

Captain Mr Michael Streuli , Tibetan Fox

As novices, we were a little apprehensive when faced with a 58ft narrow boat, but found the package sent to us by Foxhangers prior to our holiday a great help. The tuition was good and helped build our confidence, and we were soon on out way. Thoroughly enjoyed our week on the canal, with no major mishaps. Would thoroughly recommend Foxhangers to anyone whether or not experienced.

Captain Mr Rodgers, Tibetan Fox

We did enjoy our holiday and Tibetan Fox was the best equipped boat I have ever hired- and I've hired a lot!

Captain Mrs Churchill , Tibetan Fox

From start to finish I was impressed by the Foxhangers operation. The staff who spoke to us, whether personally or on the telephone, were most courteous and helpful. The boat was presented in an impressive way, it was spotless, tidy and well equipped. Thank you for a most enjoyable holiday. Well done all at Foxhangers!

Captain Mrs Gwen Bateson, Tibetan Fox

We were very pleased with our accommodation; the boat was in excellent condition and had every convenience you could imagine.  We spent two nights in Bath and 2 nights in Bradford-on-Avon, both were wonderful experiences we will never forget. We would like to especially thank Richard for his detailed instructions on the operation of the boat, locks and bridges.  We can’t thank you enough for providing us with a holiday we will never forget.  We would highly recommend Foxhangers to anyone wanting to rent a narrowboat on the Kennet and Avon.

Captain The Pawelchak/Winters party , Tibetan Fox

Dear Foxhangers, I hired the Tibetan Fox in mid June 2014. My only regret was that I had only hired it for 5 days. It wasn't enough. The experience was a delight from start to end. From motoring gently through beautiful countryside to the freedom of just pulling up at the side of the canal for a wander through little villages or a visit to a canal side pub for a lovely dinner, it was all so relaxing and enjoyable. Even the locks and swing bridges were fun. The boat was beautifully turned out, the interior all lovely timber, with all the mod cons one could hope for. The people at Foxhangers were very helpful and friendly. I'm from Australia so had to organise the whole thing long distance and it was a breeze. I also used the service provided through the local village shop to have groceries on board when I arrived. This was better than I ever expected and I would definitely recommend it. We only ordered enough to get us through the first couple of days, but next time I will order everything I need for the whole time. The food they provided was fresh, plentiful and was all on board when we arrived, and I didn't even have to pay until the end of the trip. Overall I would absolutely recommend a canal boat holiday through Foxhangers to anyone. It was a highlight of my trip to England.

Captain Mark , Tibetan Fox

I just wanted to thank you on behalf of my family for such a wonderful boating experience. Unfortunately we arrived too late for a full handover but the chap was kind enough to come back first thing Tuesday morning to help us on our way. The boat had everything we could have wished for and the chocolates and wine waiting for us in the fridge were a lovely surprise. We made our way to Bath in a day and a half and were in awe of the beautiful country side and its abundance of wildlife we saw along the way. After a few hours we started making our way back stopping off at many points along the way. We even had time to take in a pub quiz on our last night! We will definitely be coming back for more next year.

Captain Warren Family , Tibetan Fox

Just returned from what can be described as best boating holiday yet On arrival at yard we were greeted with a warm welcome and was able to load the boat straight away. The boat Tibetan Fox is a virtually brand new boat, we have had many boats but the layout and design of Tibetan was the tops, roomy comfortable and so much storage we did not know what to do with, this is how narrow boats should be built The boat was so easy to drive which went to making it such a memorable holiday. Will be back again and definitely be using Foxhangers

Captain The Grieves Family , Tibetan Fox

Having hired canal boats over the past five years we found Foxhangers the most professional company we have dealt with. Our boat was presented in a top class condition with some great touches. Nice to be able to listen to the radio while piloting the boat due to radio cd player being fitted in the rear of the boat as well as at the front. The inside of the boat has been finished in a first class condition. All the staff we came in contact with were only to pleased to be helpful. Our trip to Bath and back was a delight with a variety of pubs to visit on the way. We looking forward to returning to Foxhangers for another adventure. Thank you all.
