What can we say? Team Foxhangers looked after us on our recent trip on Einstein. What an amazing boat, everything you could possibly want, from 2 bathrooms, 2 fridges, separate sleeping areas, everything was perfect. We travelled from Foxhangers to Bath and back in 4 days. We cannot thank Nick, Kirsty, Sharon, Patrick and the Foxhangers team enough for making our time on the canal perfect. Looking forward to booking with Foxhangers again soon x

We had the most wonderful holiday on Einstein. From the very start, with the comprehensive website, the very efficient booking process, as well as the follow up information provided by Foxhangers, it was simply all first class. The boat was superbly equipped - well worth the premium price compared to the rest of the fleet - the handover process very complete and adapted to the experience of the skipper/crew and the information on board was on point as well. When we had a mechanical issue, the Foxhangers response team was efficient, from reporting the issue to the engineer coming out promptly with a replacement part, allowing us to continue our holiday without disruption. Having done 5 different narrowboat holidays, the whole experience with Foxhangers was by far the most comprehensive we have witnessed - thank you to the whole team.

My wife, me and 2 friends took out the boat Einstein's fox, a 65 ft boat. It is perfect for 2 couples with separate shower, bathroom and bed with the kitchen in the middle. The boat itself was immaculate, clean and well stocked with utensils and equipment. We had a little problem with a shower. We called, Foxhangers responded immediately and we were very promptly on our way. Terrific service. All in all a great experience seeing small towns with wonderful old pubs and very good food. Highly recommend Foxhangers.

We have holidayed on narrow boats since the late 70's, with grandparents and parents owning a boat at sometime and hiring them at other times and by far Foxhangers is the best hire firm we have ever used. The booking was easy. They phoned the week before to check bedding and anything else we needed and it was the little touches as well for instance there is a copy of the canal boat water ways map book which is essential but they usually cost £12 to £15 and a complimentary box of chocolates and bottle of wine. Everything was well organised and the staff could not be more helpful and friendly. This was especially needed when my mother had a stroke whilst on the boat and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure the ambulance got to her quickly and nothing was too much trouble after that. The Caen flight is a must and we met so many people from all over the world who were fascinated by the locks and wanted to chat and help out. Although the weather wasn't fabulous we had a wonderful holiday.

Einstein’s Fox is a superb boat and well designed with cabin and shower room at either end which was ideal for us as 2 couples. Everything had been thought of and the boat is well equipped and beautifully fitted out. The whole holiday went so smoothly - of course a sunny week made it even better - and dealing with locks and mooring in the evening were made that bit simpler by using the bow thrusters! The dogs loved their holiday too and the advice on pubs etc from you was really helpful. It’s a long time since we were on a narrowboat but we realised what a tremendous holiday it is on the beautiful Kennet & Avon canal watching heron, swans, ducks, owls and all the super wildlife. I've canal boated all my life but hire them myself for holidays rather than own. I really fancied trying a different canal system and thought the Kennet & Avon would be a great canal to try and came across Foxhangers. We had Einstein’s Fox and set off for Bristol. The hire boat company are super organised and professional, calling me a week before our holiday to ensure that the boat would be set up correctly for our family's requirements. The boat was lovely, equipped with more than you might expect for a boating holiday with little luxuries such as 2 fridges, coffee machine & a little fold up table at the bow for evening drinks & nibbles & our shopping had been thoughtfully put onto the boat ready & into the fridges. We luckily found moorings where we wanted along the way & ate out at some lovely canal side pubs. We encountered some lovely boaters along the way, some on Foxhangers boats and others privately owned, there was no negativity from anyone at all & despite the challenges we had a great holiday. Would I hire here again? Definitely yes, we will book 2 weeks and head down the other way tackling Caen Hill.

We had a lovely holiday on Einstein Fox. The booking process was easy and the staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The boat was well equipped and the bow thrusters certainly helped in difficult manoeuvres. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Hi it was amazing holiday the boat was lovely the bow thruster was a great idea And took a lot of stress out of manoeuvring Whilst some people think it's cheating but I think Why struggle when you van press a button lol I had lots of comments about the boat Thruster envy all good fun . Canal was great we headed to Bath Lots of lovely friendly people using the Canal whether walking or actually on the water. Thanks for a great holiday I would recommend it to anyone Proper de stress and good fun

What an incredible week we’ve just had on the beautiful Einstein Fox. Loved the bow thruster, first time we have had one, makes such a difference rurning round! Lots of luxuries you don't normally get on a hire boat, like 2 fridges, so you don't have to play fridge Jenga and can keep the beer and wine cool! Granite work tops, decent coffee machine and super milk frother. Underfloor heating, although we were fairly lucky with the weather. Lovely comfy mattresses, great shower rooms and no smelly toilets! Thank you so much, without doubt, the best canal boat company we’ve ever holidayed with.

'Einstein Fox' is a beautifully fitted craft, ideal for boaters who would like to upgrade their experience on the Kennet & Avon canal. Similarly, the Foxhangers staff are helpful and supportive, whatever your needs. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful week on Einsteins Fox. The boat is extremely well equipped, luxurious really, all fittings being of a very high quality - the kitchen even has two fridges. At 65ft long, Einsteins Fox is on the large side, but it is fitted with Bow Thrusters enabling us to manoeuvre with relative ease. As two of us were novices we decided to travel West from Foxhangers, thus avoiding Caen Hill Locks. Wise decision by our Skipper! Though the canal was quite busy we were able to find peaceful moorings each evening as well as convenient moorings for lunch at the nearby pubs. Unfortunately we did have a gearbox breakdown. However Foxhangers were immediately responsive and communicative over the issue. Both Andrew and Ray their engineers, kept us informed and ensured that the interruption to our holiday was kept to an acceptable level. All aspects of our communications with Foxhangers was both efficient and friendly and I will not hesitate to book again when we return to the Kennet & Avon - maybe to tackle Caen Hill Locks!!

We just wanted to write and say what an incredible week we’ve just had on the beautiful Einsteins Fox for her maiden voyage! Although a big boat, she was a joy to handle with the addition of a bow thruster and everything on board is so well thought out. All the little luxuries and underfloor heating meant that even the sub-zero night-time temperatures and the couple of rainy days we had were more than comfy and enjoyable. Two big decent fridges made life so easy and having a proper coffee on deck first thing in the morning whilst watching the wildlife was just wonderful. Super comfy big beds, great showers, I could go on and on, but it’s safe to say we didn’t want to hand her back at the end of the week, we will be back. Thank you so much to the office team that were always helpful with any queries and to the lovely team that greeted us for handover and welcomed us back at the end of our holiday too - lovely, kind and patient people. Without doubt, the best canal boat company we’ve ever holidayed with. Thank you for giving us such a brilliant week again!
