Seasoned boaters may wish to decline the boat handling and lock demonstration (unless there are novices in your crew who would benefit from this) but we will still make sure that you understand how all the equipment works onboard.
You may be aware that all the locks on the Kennet and Avon are broad locks, t they can take two narrowboats at a time. There are also several swing bridges on this canal and if you have not come across these before, a full explanation of how they work will be given to you.
