Accommodation Cleaner

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor the Senior Cleaner is responsible for making sure that Foxhangers customers enjoy a perfect holiday experience inside their chosen hire boat or holiday home. Working as team with all other Foxhangers staff, they ensure all holidays accommodation is prepared and presented to the arriving customers in optimum condition.

A pro-active hands-on approach is a necessity when it comes to delivering ‘quality assurance’ within the housekeeping department, maintaining these high standards by motivating, organising, co-ordinating and taking ownership of the day-to-day work of staff cleaning the hire boats, mobile homes and other Foxhangers buildings/facilities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• • Clean cookers, work surfaces and all kitchen equipment.
  • Clean toilets, hand basins, showers, baths and sinks.
  • Dust, damp‑wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, radiators, shelves and fittings.
  • Remove used bedding and replace with clean sets ready for the next guests.
  • Replenish consumables such as toilet rolls and cleaning sachets.
  • Empty waste bins and transport rubbish to designated collection points.
  • Clean windows inside and out (safety harness available for external boat windows).
  • Sweep floors using brushes or dust‑control mops.
  • Mop hard floors with wet or damp mops.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and carry out spot‑cleaning where required.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
  • Take direction from a supervisor when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow data‑protection guidelines where appropriate.
