Cabin Descriptions:

The cabin sides are fitted with Maple veneered plywood, the roof clad with Maple T&G, all of the Maple is sprayed with a tough clear lacquer that requires very little up keep. The floor is finished with Solid American Walnut in all the cabins apart from the bedroom which is carpeted and the Bathroom which is tiled. All of woodwork has been crafted by our own small team of carpenters

Bow deck
The 7’6 Bow Deck has a bow locker with space for 2x13kg LPG cylinder and an automatic changeover switch between the cylinders so you never run out at and awkward time. Steel seats/steps are fitted down each side. The water filling point and anchor fixing point are also on the Bow Deck. Below the bow deck is the integral water tanks with a capacity approx 675 litres, a water gauge is fitted inside the boat so should never unexpectedly run out.

Forward Cabin
The 9’9 forward cabin is a highly functional space and can be utilised in several way;
• As a dining room with room for 5 or 6 people around the table.
• As a flexible secondary bedroom with the dinette converting it can sleep up to 3 people, with the following combinations of bed easy to make up. Either a 4’W x 6’3L double bed, a larger 6’W x 6’3L double bed, a 4’W x 6’3L double and 2’W x 6’3L single bed or two 2’W x 6’3L single beds.
• As a secondary lounge with the cosy L shaped dinette and 15” TFT TV/DVD entertainment system

Galley
The 7’6 U-shaped Galley is completely separated from the forward cabin via a full height bulkhead and interior cabin door, but flows openly into the central saloon with a breakfast bar backing onto the galley.

The Galley is well thought out and beautifully hand crafted out of Cherry wood, every nook and cranny has been explored and utilised with pull out storage units making dead corners easily accessible.

A good sized and powerful separate LPG gas Oven / Grill / Hob is fitted as well as microwave/grill and 110 litre Waeco fridge is fitted under the worktop. Ample storage for food and kitchen equipment is provided in an overhead cupboard, 2 under counter cupboards, crockery can be stored in a long shallow under gunwale cupboard, and rubbish and cleaning equipment goes in a pull out unit under the sink

Central Saloon
The 10’3 central saloon flows on from the galley with a breakfast bar for 2 people perched on the end of the galley. Set back underneath is the Zanussi compact washing machine which tests have proven to be the best washing model available on the market suited for narrowboats due to its physical size, power demands, energy & water efficiency and reliability.

The spacious central saloon allows enough room for a couple comfy arm chairs or even a small sofa . The entertainments are neatly fitted into recessed cupboard under the gunwale with a 20” 12 volt TFT TV/DVD and neat Digital radio/CD unit which has its own DAB aerial on the roof offering excellent signal.

A beautiful red enamelled solid fuel fire is large enough to keep the boat ‘toasty’ warm even on the coldest of winter days. Sat above a black granite hearth it has stainless steel surrounds which work well to reflect the heat forward into the cabin, the flue pipe rising above the fire is cleverly hidden into an over head cupboard which acts as an elegant log storage unit.

Toilet / Shower Room
This Toilet shower room is a generous 6’0 long, modern and clean is the theme with a stone tiled floor, white porcelain sink and toilet, white laminated shower walls (no grubby tile grout will ever need cleaning) and glass bi-fold shower doors.

The toilet is a modern wall mounted macerator toilet and holding tank is a very large 729 litres providing approx 486 flushes before you require the need of a pump out.

The shower is thermostatically controlled offering about 20 minutes of continuous hot water (it takes about 30 minutes to heat the hot water tank back up from cold).

Storage is provided by wide mirrored double cabinet above the basin and toilet, and shelved unit ideal for towels.

The Bedroom
This cabin is has a cosy feel with it light Maple sides and roof complimented by all the fitted units and bed and access steps made out of Cherry and a carpeted floor.

This is 9’6 long offering a double bed ample storage for personal effects. The bed is 4’ x 6’3 but can be easily made wider to 4’6 x 6’3 with the inclusion of mattress filler to compliment the sprung mattress. Storage provided with a large full height hanging wardrobe, chest of drawers, vanity cupboard and over and under bed cupboards.

The Rear Deck
The 7’6 semi-traditional Stern Deck has a two side lockers/seats and central cabin access doors and sliding hatch. Two exterior doors help provide a weather protected enclosure above the engine boards.

The Engine Room and Electrical system
A Shanks 40hp inboard diesel engine and 2:1 hydraulic gearbox. keel cooling, flexible mounts, 110 amp alternators supplying 600 amphr batteries and 30 amp alternator supplying the engine starter battery, control panel and tachometer, hour meter, keyswitch and engine default warning lights.

A stern tube lubricator and automatic bilge pump also fitted. A single lever engine control is fitted. A 17x12 hi speed propeller is fitted with access via the quick release weed hatch.

The Webasto 5.2kw diesel heater is located in the engine room, the heater burns approx 1-1.5 litres of diesel per hour and heats 4 thermostatically controlled radiators, a blower box in the forward cabin the domestic hot water tank. This heater is operated by timer switch in the bedroom.
240v is provided by a Sterling 2100W Sine wave Inverter, remotely controlled in the bedroom this Inverter will provide up to a maximum of 3kw. It will also act as a battery charger whilst the boat is connected to shore power.

A Galvanic zinc isolator is fitted to reduce any electrolysis in the water from the 240v system corroding and breaking down the steel hull
There is a large 130 watt solar panel fitted to supplement battery charging capable of producing 7.4 amps of charge in good sunshine. The panel is fitted on a hinged bracket on the roof so you can angle towards the sun useful especially in winter when the sun is not overhead.

Interested?

If this boat is of interest please contact us to register your interest and we can arrange a viewing at a time to suit. The boat has now been completed and is available on strictly first come first served basis. We do not anticipate it hanging around long especially as it has a great mooring, but don’t worry if you miss out we are starting work on our next boat for completion in Spring 2010 which will be identical to this one and will also have a mooring.

We are members of British Marine Federation and this boat is built to the standards of the Recreation Craft Directive and comes with Declaration of conformity, a 4 year Boat safety certificate and a full owners manual.
