Foxhangers is a Quality Accredited boatyard (QAB).

This means that we have passed and hold a current certificate following various assessments set by the British Marine Federation including:

  • Health & Safety issues
  • Legal requirements
  • The Hire Boat tuition and handover scheme
  • Customer service procedures – onshore and when customers are cruising
  • Facilities such as car parking, reception, toilets etc

In addition to this, our boats are graded annually by Visit England. As a bare minimum we offer the following:

  • Free parking
  • Free bedding including spare blankets (with permanent beds made up for your arrival)
  • Free towels
  • Free tea towels and oven gloves
  • Basic cleaning supplies (toilet cleaner, washing up liquid, surface cleaner, cloths broom, mop and bucket)
  • Toilet rolls
  • Free gas for cooking
  • Free buoyancy aids where required

And all our boats have:

  • Gas oven & grill with four ring hob
  • Domestic sized under the counter fridge with icebox
  • Fully equipped kitchen for most crockery, glassware, cutlery and cooking equipment needs with extra equipment available free on request

One star (Very Basic) – Acceptable overall level of quality. Clean craft with adequate provision and quality of furnishings and fittings and equipment to meet all essential needs. Television available. Good standards of customer care. Pricing and conditions of booking made clear and some information available to help you make the most of your stay. Two star– In addition to the one star criteria: Good overall level of quality and customer care in all areas. Radio fitted. Three star – In addition to the two star criteria: Very good overall level of quality. Good standard of maintenance and decoration with a good quality and range of furniture and fittings as well as extra space. Colour TV available and lighting for each berth. Four star (very comfortable with good standard of fixtures and fittings)– In addition to the three star criteria: Excellent overall level of quality. Very good level of care and attention to detail with higher comfort levels provided for guests. Maximum of two persons sleeping in a cabin. Colour TV and DVD player supplied. Five star (Luxury) – In addition to the four star criteria: Exceptional level of quality. Highest level of décor, fixtures and fittings. Excellent standard of management efficiency and guest care. Wider range of accessories. Saloon separate from the sleeping cabins. 240v electric. Microwave oven. Hot water will be available even when the engine is not running, domestic style flushable toilet.
