How to find Lower Foxhangers from Devizes (East)

Lower Foxhangers is situated about 2 miles west of Devizes. Exit Devizes following the signposts for Trowbridge on the A361, a short dual carriageway starts as you leave Devizes and Lower Foxhangers entrance is approximately 400yds after the dual carriageway has finished.  Look out for the brown tourism signs pointing to our entrance, on your right; follow the track through the gateway, past a cottage.  Follow the track to the left before the farmhouse; at the end of the stone track veer right and down to the wharf.

How to find Lower Foxhangers from Chippenham (North)

If you are coming on the A342 from Chippenham, on entering the village of Rowde take the B3101 (next to The Cross Keys pub).  Please note there are several houses/farms called Foxhangers on this road, which can cause confusion. This road takes you to the A361 (dual carriageway).  Turn right and Lower Foxhangers entrance is approximately 400yds after the dual carriageway has finished.  Look out for the brown tourism signs pointing to our entrance, on your right; follow the track through the gateway, past a cottage.  Follow the track to the left before the farmhouse; at the end of the stone track veer right and down to the wharf.

Coming From Trowbridge A361 or Melksham A365 (West)  

After the traffic lights where both these roads merge head on towards Devizes and after approximately ½ mile look out for the brown tourism signs pointing left into our entrance.  Follow the track through the gateway, past the cottage and on towards the farmhouse.  Follow the track to the left before the farmhouse; at the end of the stone track veer right and down to the wharf.

Rail

The nearest mainline train station is in Chippenham,which is about 9miles from Lower Foxhangers.  Chippenham is on the London Paddington to Bristol Line.  It is about a 25 minute taxi ride from Chippenham Station.  Other mainline Train stations in Wiltshire are Westbury, Swindon and Pewsey.

Bus
